Pigmentation can be caused by the sun, inflammation, hormones, skin aging or previous treatments. At MediSpa Skin Clinic, we first assess the type of pigmentation, skin color and the risk of reactive hyperpigmentation. The goal is not to aggressively treat every blemish, but to choose a safe protocol that makes sense for your skin.
Brown spots and uneven skin tone often remain visible because the excess pigment is lodged in the skin and is reactivated by the sun, heat or irritation.

Do not use retinoids, acids, and peels until the skin has calmed down.
