DEKA Tighten is a fractional, non-ablative Q-switched Nd:YAG 1064 nm treatment for improving skin quality, firmness, texture and tone. It is intended for clients who want gradual tightening and a smoother appearance of the skin without aggressive resurfacing and without a long recovery period. Unlike long-pulse Nd:YAG treatment that relies primarily on continuous deep tissue heating, Q-switched mode delivers energy in very short nanosecond pulses of high peak power. The fractional extension distributes this energy to a multitude of microscopic treatment points, creating controlled photomechanical and localized photothermal stimulation while the surrounding skin remains intact. Such micro-stimulation triggers the skin’s natural reparative response and can promote collagen remodeling. The results develop over time and through a series of treatments: the skin can appear firmer, smoother and more even, with improvements in fine lines, pores, texture and the overall appearance of photoaging. The goal of this treatment is to firm and improve the quality of the skin, not to perform a surgical lift or dramatically tighten pronounced sagging. During the treatment, a series of fast, light laser pulses are felt with a slight warmth or burning sensation. The skin surface is not ablated or peeled. Transient redness may occur immediately after the treatment, while recovery time is minimal or non-existent. DEKA Tighten is particularly suitable for the face, neck, décolleté and hands. The best results are expected through an individually planned series of treatments, depending on the quality of the skin, the degree of photoaging and the desired goal.
